Schäfer, S: Augen-Blicke

Augen-Blicke was composed in 1995 for »Alster­brummer«, the double bass trio of Philharmoniker Hamburg. The modern piece is inspired by the expressionistic novel »Eurokokke« by Yvan Goll. The extended one movement work is divided in four parts. Augen-Blicke is a trio for an ambitious bass ensemble looking for special colours on their instruments.
